Born in the Bay Area, Sebastian moved to Maine as a young child where he spent the remainder of his childhood. During those years, he learned a deep appreciation for nature and the music and poetry of the Civil Rights and Anti-War Movement. These influences are deeply rooted in the music that Sebastian writes.
Studying music at Columbia University, he continued his love and appreciation for Beatnik poetry while studying composition at the historic Columbia Electronic Music Center. While drawn to the free experimentation of the West Coast, the Music Theater and Conservatory approach of New York City have deeply effected Sebastian's approach to the art.
Sebastian is now working on a solo album that will be released this spring. It engages in a deeper and more personal exploration that explores the sounds of his youth.
